What is the purity of the peptides — why 99% and not 100%?

Our peptides are produced to exceptionally high purity standards (≥99%), which is considered the gold standard for research-grade peptides. This means that nearly all of the material is the exact peptide sequence intended, with only trace, unavoidable residual elements from the testing process.

In peptide science, a literal 100% purity cannot be scientifically verified due to the natural limits of analytical testing and the complexity of peptide synthesis. Even the most advanced testing methods detect minute, non-reactive traces. A 99% purity level ensures consistency, reliability, and confidence in research outcomes and is widely accepted and trusted across laboratories and research institutions.

Why do your products say “Research Use Only”?

Our products are labeled “Research Use Only (RUO)” because they are intended strictly for laboratory research and scientific investigation. This classification indicates that the peptides are not approved for human or animal consumption. The designation helps ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards for chemical suppliers.

PepElite is a chemical supplier providing products intended strictly for laboratory research and development purposes. All products sold by PepElite are designated for research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary use. The products offered have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. By purchasing from PepElite, the customer acknowledges and agrees that all products will be used solely by qualified professionals in appropriate research settings and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
